INCH-3 Miniature Tongue Interlock Safety Switch

IDEM’s INCH-3 Compact Safety Interlock Switch is a member of the same family as the INCH-1 and MK1-SS which has been designed to provide position interlock detection for small moving guards.
Having been designed to fit the leading edge of sliding, hinged or lift-off machine guards they are the perfect switch where space is at a premium and a compact body is a requirement.
The rugged Stainless Steel actuator profile of the INCH-3 is designed to match a patented cam mechanism to provide a positively operated not easily defeated interlock mechanism.
COMPACT: The compact body with 18mm fixing profile and rotatable head makes the INCH-3 easy to install where space is restricted.
The rotatable heads have dual actuator entry positions to give up to 8 different entry positions.

3 conduit entry points are available to give flexible mounting options.
Contact blocks are replaceable and offered with 2NC 1 NO configuration.

The INCH-1 Compact Tongue Interlock Safety Switch has been designed to provide position interlock detection for small moving guards.
They are designed to fit the leading edge of sliding, hinged or lift off machine guards. The narrow width and length of the INCH-1 are perfect for narrow channels where space is at a premium.
The rugged Stainless Steel actuator profile is designed to match a patented cam mechanism to provide a positively operated not easily defeated interlock mechanism.
COMPACT BODY: The compact body only 25mm wide with 18mm fixing centers and rotatable head makes the INCH-1 easy to install where space is restricted.
The rotatable head has dual actuator entry positions to give up to 8 different entry positions.
Three types of actuator are available for the INCH-1. Type A: Angled, Type F: Flat and Type PF: Plastic Flexible which is available for tight radius guards.
Contact blocks are also available as replacements and are offered with 2NC or 1NC 1NO contacts.

With a mirror polished Stainless Steel 316 housing, the MK1-SS Compact Safety Interlock Switch from IDEM has been designed to provide robust and durable position interlock detection for small moving guards.
The compact nature of the MK1-SS enables it to fit the leading edge of sliding, hinged or lift off machine guards. Ideal for channels or where space is at a premium the MK1-SS fulfills all these requirements.
The mirror polished surface finish (RA10) coupled with an IP69K ingress protection rating makes the MK1-SS ideally suited to the food processing and packaging environments.
